Naivasha, Kenya – Police in Naivasha have arrested a man who have always attempted to access a restricted areas while dressed in full Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) combat uniform.
The man, who has been posing as a senior military officer, and introducing himself as “Major” could confidently approach the security checkpoints as if he were reporting for duty.
Witnesses say the suspect could even march like a trained Kenya army officer and boldly question officers on duty, asking, “Hamjui mimi ni nani?” (you don’t know who I am?).

This time round while the man was running his usually heralds, his determination grabbed the attention of security officers, who quickly apprehended him for further questioning.

After the cross examining, the police confirmed that in deed the gentleman was not affiliated with the Kenya Defence Forces and was detained in police custody.
He is expected to face charges related to impersonation and attempted access to a restricted security zone.
The incident has sparked discussions in security circles and online spaces, with many Kenyans commenting on the man’s boldness.
Ideally, “If confidence had a military rank, then this man would be a General somewhere either in Kenya Arm, Kenya Navy or Kenya Air Force,”~ one user joked on social media.
