President William Ruto today announced Kenya’s dedication to making a thriving business environment in Kenya while advocating for stronger trade and investment ties between Kenya and the European Union countries.
While peaking at the second edition of the Kenya-EU Business Forum event in Nairobi, President William Ruto proclaimed that Kenya was open and ready for business with the global world.

The forum gathered government technocrats, international investors and business interested parties, from Kenya and the EU countries.
The event marked a fundamental breakthrough with the launch of the European Union Chamber in KenyaKenya. A new platform that is aimed to boost partnership between the Kenyan and European private sectors.

In his presentation in the event, President Ruto humbly requested the Kenya-EU Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) Council to find new better and creative course of action to master trade barriers.

On the same, he stressed the significance of unlocking the full potential of Kenya-EU trade, that has overgrown significantly over the past years.

“To build a stronger future, we must remove the roadblocks that limit trade and investment. We’re encouraging the EPA Council to explore innovative solutions to both current and future challenges,” he noted .
The President also spoke of his government’s dedication to international trade advocacy policies, that are outlined to grow an aggressive and resilient Kenyan economy.
The reforms are aimed to create sustainable wealth that can stand all times, all-roand business opportunities and build enduring cooperation with international friends like the EU.

The event gave an opportunity for discussion, dialogue and networking of business leaders from both regions allowing them to explore new investment opportunities in key areas such as renewable energy, agriculture, technology, and manufacturing.
Experts say the future of Kenya-EU trade relations looks more promising than ever with this launch of the EU Chamber with Kenya’s continued push for an investor-friendly environment and policies.
