Malala Alleges Secret Government Money Printing Scheme Under ‘Empowerment’ Banner.

May 24, 2025

In a daring and controversial claim, acting DCP Secretary General Cleophas Malala has accused high-ranking government officials of secretly printing and circulating money under the disguise of “Empowerment Programs,” a move he has warned could have disastrous consequences on the Kenyan economy.

Speaking at a public rall in Manyatta constituency Embu county, Malala alleged that the government is involved in unauthorized money printing activities, with the cash being kept in private residences of top government officials instead of in Central Bank of Kenya.

He particularly pointed fingers on Deputy President Kindiki Kithure and Personal assistant to president Ruto, Farouk Kibet, whom he claimed they have been “flying across the country” and distributing large sums of money at fundraising events and rallies like what happened in 1992 during the time of Moi and Jirongo.

“Government officials are printing money which they are keeping in their houses. Farouk Kibet and  the fake deputy president, Kindiki are moving around the country handing out money in fundraisers while our schools are struggling due to lack of capitation funds,” Malala said.

The former UDA secretary general noted serious concern over the economic implications of the alleged money printing activities, cautioning Kenyans that flooding the economy with unregulated cash could lead to inflation, devaluation of the Kenyan currency, and long-term financial instability in the country

“This reckless move by top government officials will have a devastating effect on our economy,” he added.

While the government has not yet issued an official response to these allegations, Cleophas Malala’s remarks have sparked renewed public debate in the online platforms on transparency, the integrity of empowerment programs, and fiscal policy of Kenya kwanza regime.
