President William Ruto has today stressed the need for a fearless and strategic leadership that can drive significant change and economic growth in the country.
While holding a meeting with grassroots leaders from Makueni, Machakos, and Kitui counties at StateHouse Nairobi, President Ruto noted that tangible transformation will not be achieved by taking easy or convenient decisions.
“We cannot transform Kenya by making decisions that are merely convenient,” he stated. “Change only comes when we are willing to make tough but right choices, decisions that shape the future of our people.”

He also pleaded with leaders to have greater unity among themselves and a collective focus on mobilizing resources and pointing them towards investments that will ignite economic development in the whole country.

In the course of discussions, President Ruto and all the leaders that had attended agreed to accelerate the ongoing and upcoming development projects in the Lower Eastern counties. The commitment is aimed at unlocking the region’s economic potential and improve local communities livelihood.
He concluded by emphasizing that, that renewed focus on grassroots engagement and regional development reflected the government’s broader strategy to accelerate inclusive economic growth amongst citizens and ensure that no part of the country was left behind.
