Justice Maraga Commends Youth Leadership, Vows to Champion Accountable Governance in 2027 Presidential Bid.

Former Chief Justice David Maraga, who has shown interest  to participate in the upcoming 2027 General Election as a presidential candidate, has praised Kenyan Gen Zs for their advanced ideas on leadership and governance of this country.

Speaking following a meeting with various groups of young people from across the republic, the former chief Justice expressed his gratitude to the groups for what he described as “insightful contributions” from the youth in regard to the kind of leadership Kenyans want.

“I had the pleasure of engaging with an inspiring group of young leaders who are actively shaping the future of our politics,” Maraga spoke. “Their commitment, many traveled from places as far as Eldoret and Homa Bay using their own resources showing the depth of their patriotism.”

Maraga noted the innovative ways in which the young people are redefining political involvement and financing of campaigns in Kenya, highlighting their fresh view continue to give him renewed hope for the country.

Maraga stressed on his commitment to a nationwide conversation which will be focused on restoring rule of law, reconstructing the country’s economy, and promoting empathetic accountable leadership.

“I remain committed to listening to Kenyans from all walks of life as we work to reset this country,” he emphasized. “We must restore justice, economic dignity, and utu – the humanity and compassion that our people deserve.”

Maraga’s statement underscore his campaign’s focus on the youth involvement in politics, ethical leadership and the rule of law setting the tone for a better reform-driven 2027 general elections presidential contest.
